If you are reading this and thinking of applying to the PA program at St. John's stop right now. The corruption, lies and lack of educational quality is apparent in this program. This is one of the last Bachelor programs in Physician Assistant in the U.S. The sole purpose of this program is to gain money. The administrators encourage a toxic competitive environment for the students. At accepted students day we were told that 125 students would be accepted into the program and 75 would progress into the professional phase of the program. THIS IS A LIE. In reality around 150 students started freshman year and only about 60 were able to progress. It is a money making scheme. They kick you out of the program in June, way after deadlines have passed for transferring to another university. When Dean Murphy was asked how many students were progressing no clear answer was given. She is the most obnoxious and uncaring educator I have ever met in my life. Most of the professors suck. Some of them do not speak English and the others are awful teachers. They read off the powerpoint slides and do not teach the material. There is rampant cheating in this program. When confronting the deans, they vehemently denied the allegations. The only way you will pass your classes is by getting tests from previous students. If you are out of the loop or do not have many connections you are simply screwed. I wish I had not spent two years of my life in such an unsupportive and depressing program. Also, don't even try to get tutoring or help. They will literally close the door on your face.
