I think that Benedictine College is certainly one of the better colleges out there. There's a very welcoming and inclusive faith life whether one is Catholic or not. The monks are amazing people to know. The education quality definitely differs from department to department. Some departments are top of the line while others I question whether they should exist. There's something for everyone and anyone and there are lots of places to shine and not get lost in the crowd. However, apart from the faith life, the campus can be clicky in some organizations like athletics, drama, or engineering but the walls to these clicks are thin and everyone is generally friendly. First impressions really matter when it comes to professors. If you show that you care about the material, the professors will 9 times out of 10 match your enthusiasm and help you but they have no time to waste on students who don't take initiative. IF YOU DONT WANT TO LEARN THEN ITS NOT THEIR JOB TO HELP YOU GET AN A. Its very frustrating as an AB student to see slackers complain to teachers about their grades when the slackers slack off. It's not hard. Actually do the work and you'll pass. As for the town, it is certainly lackluster if you don't get creative. All and all I'm a believer that you get out of college what you put into it no matter where you go. People thrive here if they put in a good effort and a good attitude. The tools are there but you have to use them.
