St. John's is a university in NYC, more specifically jamaica, queens. It provides a wide array of experiences to learn from in the classroom and outside of the classroom. Some people are very friendly, while some other people have a bit too much of the new york attitude. The social life at St. John's has a large mix of good qualities and places to go. From just around the corner to over the bridge to manhattan. But St. John's is hardly a place where you "fall" into anything you have to seek out what interests you and take action. Yes St. John's is a Catholic school, one of the largest in the country, that holds onto its conservative values. St. John's is also a place where you can obtain a solid education in the classroom, enjoy college life and New York City, plus learn alot about the real world. If you want to attend a large, diverse, active, fun, catholic school with a strong tradition in a big city then st. john's may be for you.
