Major: Nursing (This Major's Salary over time)
Please reconsider U Portland; take a good look at the limited resources, and especially the falsely-touted merit aide. Be certain that you know just how merit aide is given.. by supply and demand. You may have off the charts academic numbers. But if you're applying to a major for which they can fill openings, it matters not to Portland if you're a Valedictorian level student. They will opt for the lesser student in your popular major, giving out less merit aide, then hand that merit aide over to inferior students planning to enter programs for which they have trouble filling spots. That is the business behind the curtain with this school. Not exactly a school searching and rewarding the very best applicants, but exactly how a program (e.g. Nursing) remains mediocre. Call Admissions and they will openly fall over one another to keep from telling you this, but it's true.
