Major: Psychology (This Major's Salary over time)
God has greatly used Bob Jones University in my life. I had come from a "BJ church" and was always a good kid. I didn't have a problem fitting in or obeying the rules; instead, I wanted to love God enough to obey Him. He's the Author of rules and He Himself has commanded us to obey our earthly authorities. BJ people are not closed minded-they're Biblically minded. Students get in troubled when they're the ones being closed minded, when they refuse to obey something because they disagree with it. BJU is not legalistic; their holiness doesn't come from wearing long skirts, going on extension, or anything else. Their holiness is what they are before God (blood-washed children!), and they desire to show the awesome greatness, goodness, holiness, and love of God to the world. There's never been a Christian who hasn't grown, and if someone legalistically insists on his own way apart from authority, it can be an evidence of his not being saved. No, you don't have to agree with everything there, but to disobey is rebellion and will bring correction from the Lord if you're truly saved.
