Studying at St. Ambrose University was an absolutely wonderful experience for me. I tried attending a large state school, but it was just too overwhelming for me. Crowded auditorium classes, inaccessible professors, and a massive campus made learning unecessarily difficult.

The faculty and staff at St. Ambrose University treated me like an individual, not just another number. I was happy to find that the small class sizes offered ample opportunity to ask questions and gain complete understanding of difficult concepts. I never had to walk more than five minutes to get anywhere on campus, and I never had to park more than two blocks away(instead of several miles at the state school).

SAU gave me the self confidence to tackle subjects that I never would have attempted at the state school, and this challenged me to achieve my full potential. It's not that the courses were any easier at SAU(if anything they're more difficult), but the biggest difference is the individual attention that SAU faculty provides. Professors are almost always available to answer questions in person, via email, or by phone. The professors at SAU are very friendly and not above taking the time to work with students individually.
Were it not for the education I received at SAU, I wouldn't be pursuing my master's degree right now. Had I stayed in the large state school, I would have been lucky to escape with only a Bachelor's degree!
