Major: Philosophy (This Major's Salary over time)
I feel that I’m getting a top-notch education at a very reasonable price. All of my professors have been great; they’re very knowledgeable, articulate, approachable, and helpful. I hear that the Computer Science department is not so good, but I haven’t taken any classes in it, so it wouldn’t be right to pass judgment. The quality of the students is another matter. This relates to the college’s admission standards, which are rather low. There are many unintelligent students who seem to be found only in introductory classes. In advanced courses, however, everyone is pretty smart. This makes for excellent class discussion. This is true of English, History, Anthropology, and Political Science classes. In my own major, Philosophy, I’ve yet to come across any dimwitted people.
