Major: Nursing (This Major's Salary over time)
My experience at GCU was not bad, for the most part. The recruiter I met an Atlanta hospital was very helpful; she encouraged me and even gave instructions on applying for financial aid (from start to finish). She was readily available if I neded to talk with her about anything. In a year's time I had only 2 different academic advisors and one financial advisor who was my second academic advisor as well. It was very difficult to get in touch with the 2nd advisor; I had to leave several messages before she would return my call or speak to any advisor who was available at the time.
I had some very good, knowledgeable instructors. Except for one, all of my instructors were very considerate, understanding and kind as well; especially my spirituality instructor and my statistics instructor. I am grateful for the learning experiences I have had while attending this college. I am so glad that I ran into the recruiter at that hospital in ATL because I have had so many problems getting into nursing programs at other schools; mainly financial issues.
There were too many CLC projects in my opinion; at least one with each 5 week class. After a couple of these projects, a nursing student should know how to collaborate with team members effectively.
Overall I have had a great experience with GCU online. I do not have many complaints at all; thus far. I have recommended this school to many of my ADN co-workers.09/13/13 RN TO BSN PROGRAM
