St. John's has an excellent location. It is located very near to Manhatten, yet has a quiet, beautiful subarban campus feel and atmosphere. The campus is of excellent infrastructure, and has been growing at a very fast pace, with new state of the art facilities every year. The residential buildings are by far the most impressive I have seen in the nation. However, I believe the main problem with this University is its student body. Possibly due to its Catholic tradition, the admission criteria is lower than in could be. Students are not always that bright, and they do indeed carry a NY pose that is far too strong. Apart from that, this University has everything to become a leading University. I would just hope that the academic standards bar were raised a bit…
