In 1995 i went to AIBT at first it seemed great. Financial Aid did not help. They never explained how much i would pay, and of course i qualified for fanacial aid however they made it that i would have loans and pay. I paid out of my pocket $6,000. That is way to much money for someone who was living beyond poverty level. The college did offer an externship, and of course i thought i could learn in a medical clinic since i was going to be a patient care technician. NO! they put me in a chiropractic clinic. That is not at all what i wanted nor did ask. I even asked to be put in a medical clinic. They refused. I then wanted to look for a job and the externship was only for 6 months. All the doctors offices where looking for one year experience. I was out of luck. So, once again went to the college and asked if they could help me find a job. They said "sure", well they then wanted to send me to job in scottsdale. I live in the West Valley. That is almost an hour drive. And of course i did not have a great vehicle. Of course they did not care. So, years passed and i still had no job and asked to take some refresher courses. I asked if i could do the phlebotomy part over. They of course said "NO". So, basically i got nothing, but a $6,000 dollar bill and no job and of course no experience. So, if you plan on going there think twice before they tell you how great it is.
