 | Quite Bright | School is fine. Some instructors are good, some aren't. Nobody knows about APU. They connect it to Azusa - which is the hood. Sort of pricey but very very convenient. Learned a couple of things. | Preparedness: A+, Reputation: D+ | | |

| | Quite Bright | I had a great experience at APU. The one thing that still stands out from my undergraduate studies is how attentive and accessible the professors are. The majority of my classes were excellent: topics, method of teaching, work load, etc. Definitely a spectrum of people, but I always felt comfortable, and I thought most people were fun, interesting, and down to earth. Overall, I absolutely believe my time at APU helped shape me into a more responsible, ethically-considerate, and independent thinker. I hope one day I am able to give back to this school so other students can have the same opportunity I did. I would definitely recommend looking into this school if you are applying to undergraduate schools in the area. Good luck! | Preparedness: B, Reputation: A | | |

| | Bright | I attended APU for my freshman year and i personally did not have the best experience. First off the city of Azusa is not the best place, scary to walk around at night, nothing to do (literally nothing), no healthy food options at all and the majority of the population besides the university is hispanic. The University itself was just not a good fit for me, i have tons a friends who are happy there though, so i hope this review does not come off like i hate the school. Alot of people go home on the weekend's so there is not much of a socail life and if you dont have a car your just stuck on the campus which is horrible, so i would definitly suggest bringing a car. parking is a pain, but that is pretty normal at any college university. There are WAY more girls than guys...thats not just a rumor it really is true. People dont really get that involved in the sports at the school like people do as USC or other large universities. My dad is a pastor and i grew up in the church so a christian enviroment wasnt new for me but alot of the professors are just really overboard and in my opition the campus pators seemed fake and like they were putting on a show. In my first year i had two great professors. Dr. Bezjian i took her consumer behavior class, take this class no matter what major you are she will change your life. and professor Hestrin for political science he definitly changes the way i viewed the subject in such a positive way. Overall my adive would be to just make sure that you throughly research any university that you are going to attend and dont ignore tiny details you think wont bother you because they start to get to you. I hope that this was a constructive review that will help you decide which college you want to go to! Best of Luck | Faculty Accessibility: A+, Scholastic Success: F | | | |
