San Francisco State University

I came to this school as a transfer student and was expecting the courses in my major to be harder because it's state. Not at all, my courses at a community college were far more intense and work load heavy than they are here. They also had more direction than the courses here. Although the department has amazing professors, I feel like I haven't learned a lot from what I already knew from my community college.

The school isn't upkept very well. Things are always down and they take forever to fix them.
I also live on campus and if living off campus was cheaper, I would do that. I have had a HORRIBLE experience with housing on campus. All the staff cares about it money. I have had plenty of problems with my living situation and they don't really care. They take their time on "solving" it when in reality all they do is make the issue worse and then believe people who are clearly lying and exhibit sociopath behavior.If I could transfer again, I would but I'm so close to graduating that I'm just sucking it up. They definitely wont be getting any donations out of my pocket.

I'm currently a senior at SFSU and after 3 years here I'm finally beginning to appreciate the school. The people here are diverse, interesting, and friendly. In my major, getting help and needed materials is not difficult at all. San Francisco is a lovely place to have a higher division public school.

In my opinion, I really like this campus, because it seems very open-minded and it pushes you to be the best you can be and forces you to break out of your bubble and try new things.
