I completed both the Vet Assistant certification course followed by the Vet Tech associates degree program.
I didn't have to sign up for individual classes or worry about fitting their class schedules into mine. The fact that it was expedited to shorter terms was preferable, but that also made it very challenging.
The information and skills training was good- especially with small class sizes.
If you have the motivation and are willing to put in the effort, you will get what you need from this school. The instructors are supportive and are willing to support their students if you are also putting in the work.
The drawback is that it is expensive, but I do feel like I got back what I paid into it. The amount of experience and connections that I've gained in this field is difficult to put an actual price on.The review provided was comprehensive and enabled me to pass my VTNE at my first attempt. I also work in the field and had a great extern experience.

Always research your school (and competing ones). Never expect a for-profit school to provide you the information.
I chose this school because it has been accredited by the AVMA for vet techs since 2009. It also agrees to adhere to the Veteran Affair's "Principles of Excellence" which is an agreement to provide certain level of support for veterans and Reservists. So far, I am enjoying my time at PMI. I'll do a final review once I graduate!

When meeting with admissions it was explained that they keep classes small to allow for more hands on experience. Every 7 weeks the class has grown by adding 4 more students. Class ratio is 20:1 now that we have 24:1 instead of spending the money they are using seniors to help teach. There are very limited equipment so it takes 2 or more weeks for everyone to complete tasks and get hands on experience. You pay $13,000 + in tuition to only get limited time to use equipment and have to argue with students with who is going first. When you break down the tuition they charge you $285 to become CPR certified (First Aid/ AED not included). The American Heart Association only charges $100 for both. At the end of your course you are not certified and the school doesn't provide the certification test. Waste of money and time.
