You spend all of your career getting andJun 15 2004Design Arts - Industrial Design/Graphic Design/etc
You spend all of your career getting and striving for good grade to have a high GPA and graduate with HONORS. Then Thesis time comes, your professor reviews it, you get an A on your midterm and good reviews on your weekly updates, then you receive result that your thesis is not enough to grqaudate. You are asked to change things and resubmit it, so you do, then you are critized w/ something else not initially mentioned and are told you cant graduate until next semester because they feel you need 1 more semester. Keep in mind, the already gave you the cap and gown and apprvd you for graduation.now there isnt another ceremony until June of next year! why not just get straight "D" Average if nothing counts! No one gives you a straight answer, or reason.

Honestly, I had no problem with it academicallyFeb 06 2004Design Arts - Industrial Design/Graphic Design/etc
Honestly, I had no problem with it academically. I learned a lot and I gained a lot. In order to do well in any art school or program you enroll/invest in, you have to make the effort. Nothing's going to be handed to you if you don't work hard for it. Also, respect and courtesy is key to your success anywhere. Overall, I'm pretty satisfied w/ what I've learned.

On the downside, I have heard a lot of rumours/facts a/ the school when I got there, which was something I should've researched. However, I have to give an F for housing. I honestly wasn't taken care of--and I wasn't taken seriously. That street in particular isn't safe at all! It can really do something mentally to students, which is why some of them rebel! I definately feel ripped off. I think that's a huge issue that shouldn't have been ignored when the new campus was built. Even after graduating, there's still a lot of stories I keep from my parents to prevent anymore damage that's already been done.

I also feel that students at that school are sometimes treated like kids. I realize that there are young students coming in, but there are a lot of mature students coming in as well. Sometimes, it has to take a parent for people to take the students seriously, which is wrong. This is a college! A lot of areas are extremely disorganized too! I think students who are still there should voice more of their opinions w/o feeling intimidated. Great program, but I sometimes find myself embarrased by promoting it. It's a shame it's at risk of losing credibility because of the way things are run there. My advice is to wait 10 years before sending someone. It needs a lot of improvement.
