I would tell anyone who wants to pursue this career or go to this school to really consider the debt you are about to take on (easily$200k) To those who do not have a family member who is already in the profession (own their own chiropractic clinic) or if you don't you come from a rich family I recommend NEVER go into this profession. Other chiropractors will tell you that you will be fine and find a job right away and paying off your loans will not be a problem. THEY ARE LYING! The truth is that if you are fortunate enough to actually find a job just out of school, plan on working your ass off for very little pay. Chiropractors eat their young!! They will work you to death! You better have a plan and finances to open your own clinic or you will be sorry you ever went down this road. Save your money! Seriously!! The repayment of your loans comes way to fast and they are very very high. PS this school will have nobody to help direct you with loan consolidation when it comes time to graduate and nobody to get any advise from on it at all! Now that im the workforce as a chiropractor, the clinic i work for is constantly fighting with insurance companies to get paid for the treatment we give to patients (alot of times they don't pay or cut the payment down to less than half). They don't teach you this stuff in school. Also, while your in school you can look forward to complications with getting your loans checks and there will be no help for you. The day I left that school was a very happy day for me. I will never advise anyone to go there or even to become a chiropractor. You are not considered a doctor in the medical field. Your better off going to school to be a physical therapist. I hope this helps those people who are questioning if this school and profession is the right decision.

I wake up every morning and ask myself... Why? This University has put me in a deep dark hole of student debt (SALLIE MAE LOANS). I guess this School gets a nice, BIG FAT Paycheck at the student's expense. I cannot believe I fell for this SCAM. I was in the undergrad program and that was a strange experience. The "DC" students were so snobby and close-minded, and they overpower the school atmosphere. It was almost like a cult. The campus is beautiful, though! God, Universe, or somebody... please give me the strength (oh, and a job... because apparently the degree hasnt done much) to pay back the money I borrowed for this piece of garbage school.

Life University is considered probably the worst chiropractic college due to its poor clinical training. They choose the lowest acceptable accreditation standard-teaching students to not diagnose patient complaints so a student gets no experience in this and is incompetent when they graduate into the real world. The reason for the problem is because the school is the offshoot of an unethical practice management group headed by a quack named Sid E. Williams called Dynamic Essentials.(visit Chirobase.org for more information on him). In order to keep from losing chiropractic patients, they believe in sticking to a dangerously outdated standard of care where a chiropractor can treat any condition. The result of that referrals are often delayed and patients undiagnosed resulting in delayed treatment and patient injuries and deaths.

Chiropractic in general is a sketchy field (it hates science, loves quackery and has too limited a scope and unvalidated treatment approaches to really be good health care and is in serious decline) that I wouldn't recommend but schools termed "mixer" like SCUHS and National don't have this problem.Don't waste your time with LIFE University.
