I admonish potential students to NOT get their MBA from National Louis University.
The cohort concept is great in theory but awful in application. The caliber students you have to contend with for 2.5 years can remind you of being back in high school. Enough space is not provided here to talk about the MBA faculty. Granted some of the instructors were awesome, but 4 out of 11 is not a stellar endorsement or recommendation to pursue your MBA at NLU.

For example, instructors at the graduate and undergraduate levels read from the course slides for 3.5 BORING hours.

The MBA program was mediocre-to-no rigor or "real life application" of the course material. The MBA staff -again not all - was simply teaching (or should I say reading from the slides). Yes, go ANYWHERE else but NLU for your MBA. You will be glad you invested more time and financial resources into your graduate studies

I came to NLU with over a decade of high level executive management experience. I thoroughly examined all the options in Chicago from Kellogg, Booth, Kellstadt, and Loyola all the way down to NIU, UIC, and IIT. NLU, in my opinion, offers the best program in Chicago, bar none. It is one of the nation?s oldest and most respected institutions, the faculty are top notch skilled professionals, and the tuition is among the highest value. The MBA program so far has been an incredible, fast paced ride through all critical aspects of business management and leadership. The professors are friendly and accessible. You get out of any MBA program only what you are willing to put into it. If you are willing to invest the time, energy, and dedication into this program you will learn an unimaginable amount of vital business knowledge. I highly recommend this program to anyone seeking an MBA in the Chicago area.

The advisor who was teaching the class did nothing to help the student. When asked questions she simply gave the answer, "I don't know." I would like to have my professor discuss it and find the answer. She was also my advisor, however, rather than advise me, she trashed me at the very end, and ignored all my communications with her. What kind of academic advisor does that, especially as a "professor." It is apparent her subpar teaching style, and communication as an avisor was lacking in every way.

This school does not advocate or help the students once you are in and they receive their over priced tuition.Go to the "University" if you want to buy your diploma. However, if you want to learn and help you learn, go somewhere else.
