Quite Bright
I love Massasoit. The professors are amazing and I have made many friends. Any time I need help someone is there to help. The faculty does everything they can to help. I am finishing one more semester at Massasoit then moving to a 4 year university. I'm happy because I saved so much money going to a community college before an expensive school. I have been on the dean's list since I have started and even got into the honors program. This school definitely gives you a good quality education for a cheap price!

Not so bright
The professors here are really helpful. You have to find out who is a good teacher and who isn't every college has great teachers and terrible teachers you just have to ask around. Everyone is pretty helpful here and the Honors Program is great!

I was a non-traditional student that was scared to go back after being away from anything academic in probably 15 yrs. They made my admission, financial aid, and registration processes as painless as possible. (my transfer school is a complete nightmare).

Compaired to the 4yr school I transfered to, I soooo miss this place. I was so happy to be there everyday (and I hated school as a kid!) The professors I had were more than accomodating. In my experience, they were always available, were willing to do what ever it took to help me and were extremely fair. Granted there are bad apples everywhere and luckily, I got only one, but quickly transfered to another professor's class. I always asked other students who they had for the different courses I needed to take for my major (Liberal Arts Transfer - Science). I think that is the best way to find the exceptional professors. That also makes them popular, so register as early as you can! There is one awesome professor's class that always closes early because everyone wants to take him.

Yes, it's a community college, so that means nobody lives on campus. I had classes day and evening. During the day the crowd is mostly younger and a bit more friendly. Evening classes are generally older with families and full time jobs, therefore, not as social. Most are there only for classes and are too tired to socialise afterwards. Other students are local and already know some people or come with their friends from high school. So don't expect to make loads of new amazing colleges friends. I did make a few that I still talk to today.

With the main campus in Brockton, I never had a problem with parking. However, with originally growing up in rural NH, I did feel a little uneasy walking in the dark to my car during my evening classes....especially after a few nights hearing gunshots in the distance (I naively thought it was a firing range next door). During the years I was there, every so often there would be a few car brake-ins or thefts. Not sure how things are now, but the school mails you statistics every year to inform you of various crimes for both the Brockton and Canton campuses. In the end, I never had a problem at Massasoit, graduated with outstanding grades and can't say enough about the positive experience I had there. I would do it all over again a heartbeat. With that said, it is all about what you put into it too.
