Super Brilliant
This is a community college, what CAN you expect?

I am a dual enrollment student from the local high school, at my high school many AP classes are scheduled at the same time so I came here to try to maintain a "rigorous" schedule.

I have never seen more idiots nor idiots of greater magnitude. Don't come here, don't let them trick you into taking classes that won't transfer.

Fundamentals of Physics comes before Physic I and the fundamental class is non transferable. Why bother?

Just do independent study, take online classes. Don't bother with this place.

FAFSA will give decent loans to anyone too financially in debt to have to absolve here. At least try. You don't want this. Apply anywhere but here unless you're working towards a GED.
Friendliness: B-, Education Quality: F

Quite Bright
I came to CCC after leaving Penn State due to family issues, and although I really miss the excitement and real "college" atmosphere of a 4 year college, I do think Carroll is great for a community college. I have actually had several classes both challenge and interest me, and I like that class sizes are small and usually discussion-based. There isn't as much variety in the types of classes you can take, but I attribute that to it being a community college rather than just a bad school. The faculty are very friendly, approachable, and interested in helping a student succeed. One of the best things I love about Carroll is that every single class is taught by a real instructor, not some crappy grad student with no personality, like some of my classes at Penn State. The Carroll campus is small, clean, and pretty, and although Westminster sucks socially, its a safe, nice place to go to school. There are only a few clubs at Carroll, but its pretty easy to start one yourself if you want to put the effort into it. And there are plenty of opportunities to take on leadership roles if that's your cup of tea. Its definitely a great place to go, get good grades, beef up your volunteer/club resume, and then transfer into a good school. You can even get a certificate in honors studies if you enjoy honors-level work. I get all A's at Carroll and I am really involved on campus, and I am applying to way better 4-year colleges now than Penn State, so it was worth the time "slumming it" in community college. Just be forewarned, Carroll (and its surrounding towns) are not very diverse, so don't come here if you like a really multicultural, mixed sort of atmosphere.
Faculty Accessibility: A+, Surrounding City: D-
