The University of Baltimore

Generally, don't go here unless you're on a scholarship. This school is turning into a huge business and they are trying to cram as many students as possible into their classrooms. The quality of education is average. Don't expect much intellectual stimulation or students really excited about their educations (they go elsewhere). The student body is amazingly culturally diverse, though. Everybody generally communtes so student life can be a little slow. Also, the area around the school is all suburbs, so don't expect to find that nice little neighborhood cafe you can hang out at with your friends..it does not exist. Once again, if you're going to this school for free, awesome...if you have a choice, please go somewhere else.

5th Year Male -- Class 2006

Perceived Campus Safety: A+, Education Quality: D

This campus is not everything but it is an alright school. I will give it credit. However, the teachers are not very accessable, the parking is terrible, there is no campus life unless you drive to Baltimore. If you'd like to go to UMBC, please have a car. The food is alright, the dining hall is amazing though, they just rebuilt it. The people are really great and there is going to be a building soon that might spice things up a bit. I suggest a real campus tour or even staying with someone that goes here before you decide to attend.
