St. Thomas invests significant resources to the development of its engineering students. The facilities are outstanding and the faculty have been very approachable. I opted to accept a scholarship from St. Thomas and haven't been disappointed.

I've truly enjoyed my time at the University of St. Thomas. I came to the university on scholarship and have found their business program to be of high caliber. Faculty for the most part are friendly and extremely accessible. The campus is beautiful if you enjoy the asthetic of neogothic architecture. Overall, this has been a rewarding experience.

The University of St. Thomas prepares for success; both the professional and personal success of its students speaks to a commitment to liberal arts education, while its institutional growth has provided the model for an entrepreneurial university. The liberal arts education provided by St. Thomas afforded a well-rounded, character-building experience that helped foster my desire for life-time learning. Professors were dedicated to not only presenting relevant content, but also fostering a personal relationship with their students that transcends the classroom. St. Thomas is a Catholic university that concentrates more on spiritual growth than religious indoctrination. St. Thomas’ academic reputation is highly regarded. I found many courses, especially those required outside of my major studies, academically challenging. The intimate classroom environment prompted substantial effort and involvement, both in the bulk of course work and required classroom participation. I truly feel that both the personal and academic growth that St. Thomas fostered prepared me well for the future. I went on to graduate work at Stanford University, but many of my classmates entered the business world; the St. Thomas experience prepares equally well for a future in academia, or the work force. Both campuses, but especially St. Paul’s main campus, are beautiful. In fact, one of St. Thomas’ greatest selling points is the beauty of its grounds. This neo-gothic setting on Summit Avenue, which is the heart of the St. Paul’s historic district, allows easy access to all the Twin Cities has to offer socially, culturally and economically. St. Thomas’ strengths include strong academics, involved faculty, a beautiful campus and the support of powerful donors who are committed to the university. It has recently received the three largest single donations made to an educational institution in Minnesota history. In the last twenty years it has grown from a small college into the largest, wealthiest private educational institution in Minnesota. Its weaknesses include limited research, insufficient on-campus housing and a lack of national reputation. I view St. Thomas as a university, which has yet to be fully discovered by those outside the Midwest. Its recent creation of an exemplary law school, full-time MBA and College of Engineering will help solidify its national reputation. St. Thomas is one to watch.
