If you're going to the University of Missouri, take your gened classes at the Columbia campus of CMU. Their cheaper, and if you're having any gripes about your instructor, simply take them to the new dean of the Columbia campus. If you just act even remotely sad, she'll tell the instructor to stop treating you so poorly and will make the course much easier for you. Its nice to have a "tool" like that in your back pocket.

2nd Year Female -- Class 2017

Don't come to this school. Most of the students didn't do well in high school and as such, can't really be pushed in class. In fact, the administration seems to do everything it can to coddle students so that they won't leave and take their precious tuition dollars with them. Don't expect to be pressured by your professors to learn here--they've been pretty brow-beaten at this point and don't want to fight the administration. If you just want a piece of paper that said you "graduated" from college, then go ahead and come here and pay their fairly reasonable tuition rates. If you want to be treated like an adult who can overcome obstacles and grow--don't bother.

2nd Year Female -- Class 2015

I came from a big city, and huge high school as well as being an out-of-state studnet. When I first came to CMU it felt like a good school. It was a small school so I thought that would be a good thing. But I, and others, quickly realized that there is nohing to do in the town the school is located in. Students have to drive 25 miles to get to a city, and the school is in the middle of no where basically. This college makes me feel like I am in high school because of how small it is. I am transferring after my freshman year because I could not stay here for 3 more years.
