Positive Negative Neutral Advice
I'm going to be neutral on this becauseBrightBiology
I'm going to be neutral on this because it depends on who you are.
edit: i started this off as neutral but realized my cons are a lot more than my pros.
pros: If your majoring in any science program like me, the faculty is the best of the best. I really got to know my professors on a personal level and they are always available and extremely helpful. small classes make it easier to ask questions and learn. You'll actually feel like you're learning something. Rockhurst is the school of connections to rich white people. So if your going there make sure you do just that!!! I dont see any other reason to go there honestly. OH AND THEY HAVE A REALLY WELL KEPT CAMPUS (hint: thats where all your tuition goes (no joke)).cons:In my case I am THE ONLY person of my ethnicity in my year. 95% of the school is white/christian. Almost every one over there comes from a pretty well off family. I, for example, am extremely poor with a really nice scholarship (which is proving less meaningful as tuition increases EVERY YEAR). Social life is embarrasing, you have to either be in a fraternity/sororeity or on the soccer team to have any human interaction. parties are lame and way too business like or just plain pathetic cause its so small. It was a plus that 70% of the school were girls but they are all the same. I'm pretty sure 90% of the girls there all had boyfriends and were all virgins. As for the guys...well 3/4 of them are nerds the others are dopey jocks on a sports team. There is no/very very few in-between laid back kids (strange). It's going to feel like high school except your living with your classmates...

Question
I WANTED TO SAY THAT YOU GUYS SUCK.AverageBusiness - Management and Administration
I WANTED TO SAY THAT YOU GUYS SUCK. rockhurst is greedy bastards who issue fines no matter what. they just want more and more money. Overcharge for food, excessive fees for students such as a technology fee. most students dont ever use a quarter of the money paid for printing yet we dont get it back. rockhurst then does whatever they can not to give back the dorm deposit even if a student gave fair warning he would be not returning to the on campus living but filled out a form for next year since originally planning to get townhouse. Also excessive cleaning fees when the ra checked it out with us. Also make up shit like a broken chair or some shit when they are fine. XL is a shitty dorm and yet somehow we damaged it. Bullshit. It mine as well have been landfill dump because thats what the dorms in XL are. FUCK YOU rockhurstParties are weak too. Bunch of virgins little prissy girls and weak lame ass parties.

Question
Very disappointed in the level of academic rigorQuite BrightBusiness - Management and Administration
Very disappointed in the level of academic rigor and on-campus living. It was unfortunate that the only social activities revolved around the fraternities and soccer team. At least it was situated in an urban area where off-campus activities were accessible if you had a car.

The university staff were particularly cold and seemed to be uninterested in helping students with questions.Very conservative and small-town oriented. If you are looking for a job outside of the mid-west you should check out a college with wider recognition geographically.
