My complaint is about the bookstore only.BrightMath
My complaint is about the bookstore only. The people that work at the campus, for student services, are very nice. They are slow, but they are nice. The bookstore on the ohter hand is completely rude and does not care about anything but the money they make from books. They tell you that they will return a book, but then when you go in, they say they won't. I paid 172 bucks for a book, loose leaf, and called them. They said bring it in. I found out they would only take it if it had not been opened from the original package. They said, that the binding, of the front cover only, was torn, at the perforation, and they would not give me any money for it anyway, and then said they don't sell used loose leaf books at all. What did they thing I was brining them? If I bought it, it was used!!!!! Clearly they don't get it.

Question
The financial Aid department don't care for theSuper BrilliantCriminal
The financial Aid department don't care for the students ability to attend...they do not provide information that is needed at registration and after several visits still no help...They need more competent employees to tend to students needs.I don't see how people can afford to attend this school with their financial aid department not distributing the funds in a proper and timely fashion. It's 4 weeks till the end of the quarter and still no student loan funds I applied for before the quarter started....I will be surprised if I get any at all at this point!

Question
I've been to all campuses, but I wasQuite BrightVideo/Media
I've been to all campuses, but I was mainly at Elkhorn.
Good things:
- Most video/audio/media art instructors are very skilled and helpful. I learned so much from them.
- The tuition was very affordable for the education they offer. This school made me realize that community colleges are SO underrated. (MCC's tuition was much more affordable than another community college I have attended before, too.)

- Elkhorn campus has an amazing Mac lab with great software. I loved spending time there.
- Fort Omaha campus looks just gorgeous with lots of green and old buildings. South Omaha has pretty, modern looking buildings, and it's got a great library, too.

- Large parking spaces on each campus.
- They're very helpful for students with a disability.
Bad things:
- It is in Omaha, Nebraska. The weather is depressing. There's no good transportation here so students who don't have a car from somewhere else easily get stuck.

- Students tend to be very lazy. If you're a serious student, you'd stand out in class.
- Cafeteria food is not worth the money.
- Not enough diversity.
- Elkhorn campus is not as pretty as other campuses despite of having an art department there.
- It's not very safe at Fort Omaha. Somebody got shot in the parking lot, there are shootings around the campus quite often, etc. Overall, I really enjoyed spending time at MCC. I would recommend this school to anyone if they wouldn't mind living in Omaha.
