First i just need to say anything i gave a D is something i have no comment on.This school is horrible. I've been here for about 1 1/2 months and i absolutly hate it. It really did cause extrem problems for me. The miniversity was a complete waste of time. They force you to stay for 2 days. You arrive at about 11 in the morning and go to seminar after seminar until about midnight. Then the guides slam on your doors to wake you up at 7. then send u to more seminarsuntil about 4:30. The seminars felt as though they were just read straight out of a book. I did not find them informative on what to expect at NJIT. The only reason to go to the miniversity is to register for classes. And that is at the very end of miniversity so you have to stay for 2 days. Then we get to the actual college life. Classes are easy to start off with but if you sdont get your books the day the class started your already behind. And you need to get the books as soon as possible, I went to look for a calc book about a week in and they were sold out. i couldnt get that book until 3 weeks into school. Just dealing with the math department is a quest within itself. The homework goes like this: homework every night about 10-20 problems but they only grade 2-4 of them. So that means you could get 9 out of ten but if the one you got wrong is graded you get a zero on it. For my calc there is 3 1 1/2 classes and one hour long recitation that is taught by a retarded TA who doesn't even know what he is really doing. My professor even said the book is horrible. All it does is tell u the function to use-it doesnt explain how to use it-and nothing else but problems. This list is already to long and i have only covered the oreintation and one class.
