I don't think AT ALL that the guyQuite Bright
I don't think AT ALL that the guy who rated everything with an F was being bitter WHATSOEVER....I thought Nazareth was awful....as did a lot of my friends. I didn't even complete a full year because it was a waste of time, money, and effort.

The English Dept. is horrible- especially the courses linked to the community. For one of my intro classes the professor treated us all like children, even though we corrected her mistakes on a regular basis. She made more mistakes than the students. And she had a doctorate degree? Come on. Just goes to show you that the professors use their degrees to condescendingly belittle their students. Another "Dr." of the English Dept. teamed up with a Freshman Seminar class and for the two classes we did nothing but babysit elementary school children at one of the city schools. It was in no way educational at all. I paid money to babysit a classroom full of children who disrespected the college students anyways. We even had to take on the care of the special education students- some with serious disabilities- all on our own, even though we had no idea how to help them if anything happened with them. That's a liability issue. And that was part of an English course? I don't think Nazareth knows how to educate its students very well- if at all.

The Anthropology department is awful. Don't even bother taking an anthropology course because one of the professors is so awfully biased that you won't do well in that class unless you see everything their way....and "their way" is horrendous and morally wrong in the public eye.

The art department is a nightmare. Just a lot of kids with no talent being enabled by their professors who are only local artists that have gotten stuck in the area. The students are in college art classes and they create art that a child in middle school could do better at. The art education students are especially like this. They make a mockery out of the world of art. Honestly, the only people that don't have a problem at this school are the people that can't actually see what is going on around them. It's awful. And I'm not saying "oh you get bad things like this everywhere..." it's just plain idiotic to go here.

Question
I loved my time at Nazareth and IQuite BrightEnglish
I loved my time at Nazareth and I have to admit I miss being an undergrad there! I faced several health problems during my undergrad years, but my advisor and professors were so willing to work with me and make sure I still graduated. I can't speak for the other departments, but the English and Philosophy departments were great; very dedicated and helpful. Many professors had an "open-door" policy-even if you didn't have an appointment, if they were in their office with the door open, they would welcome you in with a smile, even if you were just stopping by to say hello. The student body was in general friendly, although there were definitely cliques and the usual snotty girls. You will find that anywhere though, and overall I enjoyed being a student there. I noticed one person rated things like Campus Safety and Facilities and F, which is crazy. That guy rated pretty much everything an F, which leads me to think he is bitter! Just go see for yourself, please!

Question
As a student in the art department, theQuite BrightArt & Design Department
As a student in the art department, the art department is horrible. The school only cares about the art education majors, who are all jokes anyways because there is absolutely no talent in any of them. That's why the faculty only focuses on art ed. majors- because art ed. students dont' have to be good at art to teach it. All of the kids with talent are just thrown to the side. The art department does not value skill or artistic talent, only kids who "dabble in art," who are all going into the art world because that's what they "feel like doing." Even when I was looking at artwork by college SENIORS, it was like looking at mediocre middle/high school art. The art department and its students are a serious joke.
