As Christians, we must seek to do theBrightEducation
As Christians, we must seek to do the Lord's will. Deciding which college to attend should be something you take to Him in prayer. Bob Jones University is not the place for everyone, but it was where the Lord wanted me. Many people will complain about all of the rules at the University, but when a person enrolls at BJU, they know what they are agreeing to. While I have not set my personal standards the same as BJU has set their group standards, I understand the necessity of them and had no problems following them. As a Christian university, with about 5,000 students, it is necessary to draw the line somewhere. The rules are not there to make you miserable. They are in place to help you. It will not hurt you to live with the more conservative standards for a few years. During that time, you will have a chance to study the Word of God and make decisions for how you should live your life when you finish. The faculty and administration realize and understand that we do not all hold the same standards.

Many people would like you to believe that the administration does not give anyone who breaks the rules a chance. I know from experience that they are wrong. I had several friends that were given many chances. Unfortunately, some of those friends continued to make unwise decision and did get expelled. However, many of them grew from those situations and began making better decisions and were very thankful to the administration.

If you are a prospective students, my advice would be to visit BJU. After reading all of the different reviews, you are probably pretty confused and don't know what to believe. Many people, in society, that judge BJU, have never set foot on campus. Their supposed knowledge of the university comes from the media (many of whom have also not set foot on campus) or former students, who for some reason or another blame the University for everything. Please form your own opinion about BJU by taking the time to visit there for a few days. After you visit, make it a matter of prayer. Also, talk with people that you know will give godly advice.

I know I have not said anything about the actual education you will receive at BJU. If you attend there, you will receive a high-quality education. Also, they are in the process of receiving accreditation, which I know was a reason for people not attending in the past. As a graduate fromt the School of Education, I was able to get a teaching job at a public school in Indiana right after I finished. My training at BJU was never called into question, and this was before they started the process of being accredited.

Question
The only people who should attend BJU areAccounting
The only people who should attend BJU are those you are trying to work their way into heaven. There are plenty of rules and codes to obey so you can monitor your progress. The more you conform, mirror, and parrot the schools philosophy and babble the more spiritual you are. However, step out of line and you will find yourself on "spiritual probation". No joke...

spiritual probation. What a wicked concept. Teaching you how to outwardly conform even though on the inside you are full of dead men's bones. Issues of the heart are bypassed in favor of the outward appearance.

You will feel so much better about yourself because you will begin to learn that what they teach and what you will begin to believe is THE truth and THE only truth. Why? Because they are so smart and holy and love God so much that they can't be wrong. God is on their side. God chooses sides and he has picked them. Disagree and you are wrong and not only are you wrong you are now living in sin. You then have 2 choices. Repent of your sin, conform to the BJ truth or continue to live on the wrong side of the truth.

If you as an organization question or confront the machine it will send you a letter reprimanding you for hurting the cause of Christ and how you must put aside our differences. If the machine confronts or questions you, you are wrong and in sin.Really, if you love religious people, by all means go. They will teach you new ways and techniques to make yourself more desirable to God. You will begin to find out how much better you are compared to the rest of creation.

Question
No one attends a particular university on theQuite BrightEnglish
No one attends a particular university on the basis of its discipline system. For that reason, students of BJU attend for a different reason and have no right to complain about the rules. The faculty interface with the students, displaying a concern for not only the intellectual, but also the spiritual. No matter how poorly a student might speak of the school, he will not dispute that the education is of the highest quality.
