Overall, I benefitted from my years at the school. I worked with some of the brightest and most decent people, I have ever met. The faculty were generally approachable and concerned for my total well-being. I developed significantly over my four years there. I probably would have just "gotten by" at a school that didn't require the same rigor.

Question
I can't deny that in this place I'mBrightJournalism
I can't deny that in this place I'm getting a very high-quality education. And I'm very happy that they finally have accreditation. The campus is totally safe and impeccably clean (I should know, I work custodial) but all should be warned that this isn't quite the place described in the promotional videos.

The rules here are unquestionably over the deep end, and with so many to choose, I won't bother to go into long and boring detail about them. If accused of breaking a rule, you are guilty until proven innocent. If you are going to have a demerit system, at least structure it so students can do something good to remove demerits.

Additionally, discussion in Bible classes should be more open. I come from a Reformed Evangelical background, and it's hard to be in a place where the slightest difference of opinion with the Dispensational Fundamentalist rulers is all too often dismissed as invalid. If you can't take militaristic rules outside of the military, and if you can possibly afford another place, (which unfortunately I can't) BJU is not for you. Go somewhere that you're allowed to choose your own roommates and make more decisions for yourself without being labeled as a backsliding libertine.

This is a great place to get a top-notch Christian education. If you are looking for a great social life, then I would look else where. There are plenty of other Christian universites out there with a lot to offer. Don't assume that this is your only option. God can use you where ever you go.
