Positive Negative Neutral Advice
Francis Marion University is a fraud.Quite BrightArt & Design Department
Francis Marion University is a fraud. They will do everything to get you in. Then, as soon as you move in and invest couple semesters, they start making themselves so serious about requirements. They hype themselves as being the opportunity place. The goal is to keep you taking more courses and as long as it takes. So, when you leave you will feel that earned your degree. I was supposed to graduate in December; then an entire list of missing courses showed up. Suddenly, my courses that were supposed to be transferable can't be transferred. Why wouldn't they say so from the very beginning? Now, for a practically worthless degree, I have to invest another year of my life; when I should be given a degree just for surviving the most boring campus experience.

Question
I am almost confident every positive post aboutBusiness - Management and Administration
I am almost confident every positive post about this school is made by the administration. They spend tons of money in advertising the school's name and attract naive students like myself. They are very happy to get you in and take your money; then they send you out with a piece of paper that's worth nothing. As for me, I don't feel Francis Marion University done any good to me other than increasing my debts. This school has ruined my life. With such a very bad reputation, a degree from FMU is more likely to hurt you than help. If I knew about this school what I know now, my life would be very different. Too late for me, but a good lesson in life!

Question
I agree with all the negative reviews.Quite BrightComputer Science
I agree with all the negative reviews. This school is a joke. I don't know how anyone can hire you after speding 4 years in a cave. I came to study computer science and I found that the courses were designed to push students through, rather than provide a meaningful education. The classes were filled with kids who barely made it from high school and have no interest in studying anything. Only about 10% of a class was actually interested in finishing College. I took courses with seniors who were in my domain (computer Science), had a GPA of 4.0 but knew very little about computers. Some of these students couldn't defragment their computers. I transfered out at the end of my second year and was shocked to discover how much I was missing in the World of Computer Science. If you just want a degree, this may be your school. If you want to learn something, find another place. Even Florence-Darlington Tech would be a better choice.
