Positive Negative Neutral Advice
Maryville is regarded as one of the topQuite BrightBusiness - Management and Administration
Maryville is regarded as one of the top liberal arts schools in the south, so they say. Thats what attracted me to the school (BIG MISTAKE). Although the people here are somewhat nice the campus life itself absolutely sucks. Theres nothing here but a bunch of tree huggers and veggie eaters. Not to mention the racist punks. The word FUN seems to be non-existing on this campus. If you're not on a team or in some kind of orginization then you shouldnt expect to have any fun. The campus itself is so old its a wonder that some of the buildings havnt caved in yet. If you're looking for a boring (and I mean BORING!!!) college experience then i would recomend MC to you. But if you want to go to place where going to your room and taking a nap wont be the most fun you'll have in a whole month then do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. My tranfer is going through now and im not even half way through my first semester. DONT COME HERE!!! Youve been warned.

Question
I'm actually a major in American Sign Language InterpretingQuite BrightPerfomance Arts
I'm actually a major in American Sign Language Interpreting with a minor in Theater Arts. Their SLI program is top notch but not many people make it through. The head of the department likes to weed out those who she thinks aren't good enough to make it in the field which makes the program stressful but if you work hard and show improvement she may leave you alone. This school is located in a very small town, which is great for safety. Knoxville is only 15 minutes away if you want to get out for some night life. Keep in mind that this is a very small school so don't come here expecting the social aspects of a huge university, things are fairly quiet the majority of the time. The only criticism I have is the administration, many students agree that it seems like the administration do things for their own purposes not for the good of the students.

Question
Maryville is not what it used to be.Quite BrightArt & Design Department
Maryville is not what it used to be. It was known as being one of the best liberal arts colleges in the South, now it's sold out. The professors are often amazing, however the administrative leadership are crooks. They do not care about student life, but merely dollar signs. It's sad. If you go here, you will enjoy the great academic leadership, but unfortunately our leadership is embarrassing.
