Positive Negative Neutral Advice
I attended Milligan College for a year andAverageArt & Design Department
I attended Milligan College for a year and hated it. It's a sheltered, challenging college. They are more liberal than they make out. It's not a party school even though you may have a few people that do get drunk. Some people are friendly, while others can be snotty and condescending. There are a lot of student activities. I never had the time to get involved. A little heads up, mooning does happen, I was mooned once by a group of guys acting stupid. It doesn't happen on a regular basis but it does occur. The two hardest courses there are in my opinion are English and Humanities. Ms. Woolard and Dr. Miller are great professors. Ms. Woolard is really helpful especially if your having a hard time. Dr. Miller is the easiest bible professor and funny. You will have less homework with him than with the other bible professors. I have however questioned a couple of the professors judgements on what they allow in their classroom, one was ok with a strong cuss word being used in a movie and another professor didn't have a problem with nude photographs being shown even though it was apart of the field I'm going into to and it's not medical. I just expected more from them with it being a Christian College.

Question
College provides excellent academics.Education
College provides excellent academics. The education and internship program is second to none, especially to the local state university. The people in the area I live only want to see the local state university so the Milligan name on my graduate diploma is useless.

Question
This is a good school, but very stuckBrightHistory/Histories (art history/etc.)
This is a good school, but very stuck in traditional teaching methods. The Humanities program is inovative but not effective in creating a true understanding of the nature of Western civilization. The History major is amazing, as is the Eductaional major. If you are a commuter, you will be treaed like a burden instead of a customer. If it were not for the excellence of the staff I would have left for ETSU long ago.
