If you are not of the white race, you should go elsewhere. In spite of the "happy face-I love you all" standard thats is enforced by the administrative staff, the whole atmosphere is impregned with racism.
So go elsewhere, or dont go anywhere. This university is substandard, and mormon faith promoting.
Just make a browse on mormonism and you will find racially motivated versicles on their scriptures. . . If you want however to feel like a jordano Bruno, then go there.

Physics
The BYU Mechanical Engineering faculty is very fair in spending time with the student body. Most if not all have an open door policy. The facilities are very clean. A recent visit to Drexel University in Philadelphia helped my realize how much time and energy is devoted by BYU to keep the campus clean.
I think at times the University administration is difficult to understand. They are very ridgid on many policies that seem to be simply created to confuse and inconvenience the students. Fortunately I rarely deal with the University administration directly. I can get most of my answers from the Department staff who are great.
Football and Basketball are huge durring the fall and winter. I have enjoyed the student All Sports pass every year.
