Positive Negative Neutral Advice
My experience at ODU has been awesome. Not so brightEconomics
My experience at ODU has been awesome. I've watched this university grow and become better than when I was a freshman, although I still loved it as a freshman. The campus has expanded and has a brand new huge gym that is awesome, and has a bunch of new dorms. The campus looks good and is pretty new and clean. However a part of the campus is located close to the ghetto neighborhood, but the other side is great. Another negative is the crime in the area however I've never seen or experienced anything bad myself and I went out latenight at least twice a week. The social life is pretty good plenty of parties in surrounding houses in larchmont and 42nd and at the on campus village apartments which are very nice. The are also 3 bars on campus and are pretty easy to get into if you have a fake. The university is close to many attractions in Norfolk and VA Beach which I went to frequently! The classes are a good size and teachers frequently encourage participation. The university is very diverse and has a good amt of hotties. The Sports are great, basketball is very popular and the games are ALOT of fun. The New ODU football team is also fun to watch and Ive also been to soccer/baseball games that were fun. If you did OK in HS and have at least around a 3.2 apply to this university, You will not regret it!

Question
Most people who would take the time outNot so brightEducation
Most people who would take the time out to find/fill out a survey are going to write negative comments. I am filling it out because I can not believe the amount of negative comments there are on here. I was shocked but then I took a look at other schools in Virginia and almost all of them had 90% of negative comments. SO have fun trying to find a good college! ha. Ok back to ODU! I love it here everyone I know loves it here as well. There is always something to do, and those people who complain about it do no understand that every college is the same. college is NOT what you see on T.V. As a freshmen I had the wrong perception on what college was like too. I have gone to plenty of universities here in VA and they are all the same not much to do on campus all the time. BUT ODU has a leg up on some for one the beach is 15 min away! Its great! Downtown Norfolk is an up and coming city its great. If you want to live in the mountains yes ODU is not for you. But if you want to have a great time on a relaxed campus come to ODU and you can party in the library YouTube us ODU Flash Mob :-)

Question
Great school.Not so brightComputer Science
Great school. I love it here. The only thing I can complain about is the parking situation, which has improved. There are plenty of things to do besides going to class and studying. Even if you can't find anything to do on campus, which is nearly impossible, you can venture out into downtown or nearby virginia beach. The Engineering department is pretty solid at this school. I?ve already completed my internship and I have a job lined up after I graduate next semester. I?m more than satisfied with my experience at ODU.
