I learned so much from attending the University of Miami, both inside and outside the classroom. UM was the perfect school in so many ways: not too small but not too big; not directly in a major city but definitely not in the middle of nowhere. I had some of the most amazing teachers with practical experiences in their fields. Although most students would say that their college experience was great, I truly don't think that I would have had the same experience anywhere else. My advice to prospective college students is to apply yourself, make the grades and get involved in extracurricular activities- because the University of Miami and all other schools of its character look for students who are well rounded and not students who excelled in one area of high school. Go Canes!
