Please think again before attending Providence College—unless you are self absorbed snooty catholic this probably isn't the best school for you. They push the catholic views on their students first through the two years of Developement of Western Civilization and then again in the two required religion courses, and don't even think about learning about other religions, they only teach about Catholicism! The campus may seem nice on a first walk through, but completely unsafe. Campus safety does not respond to calls prompty, and the administration attempts to cover up any "accidents" or rapes on campus to keep students from being "afraid." I attended Providence because I received multiple scholarships from them, probably the one good things about the school, but it wasn't worth it. I lived on the lower campus in Dore Hall which was falling apart, the bathrooms were hidious and the dorm rooms unacceptable. Please think long and hard before attending, I transferred and am really very happy being at a school that is much more accepting and open to different people and ideas.
