Major: English (This Major's Salary over time)
I had never imagined attending a women's college but now I love it. I find the course work challenging but the environment is not overly competitive. When I attend classes at Haverford, the contrast is readily apparent with men tending to dominate the class discussions and competition being more important than learning. When I first came to BMC, I was told that the competition was with oneself and it is true. What is wonderful about BMC is the opportunity to develop working relationships with faculty members, who have been for the most part, very nuturing and intellectually challenging. My ability to think and analyze has been substantially improved by my time at BMC.
