ACU was helpful on several fronts. It helped me intellectually and, in many respects, emotionally (in terms of developing maturity). The faculty was top flight—highly intelligent, very helpful and interested in the students. The fact that Abilene was terrible was a mixed blessing. It minimized distractions. However, it did not exactly "feed ones soul." The school was rated a best value for a reason and as far as religious restrictions, it is one of the most open minded Church of Christ related school.
