Texas State, founded in 1899, is a public, comprehensive university.
Its 427-acre campus is located in San Marcos, 30 miles

selective and diverse public universities in Texas. We offer
a challenging academic environment with accessible faculty who involve students
in thinking through issues, and encouraging them to become lifelong
learners. Set among huge cypress and pecan trees lining
a spring fed river, Texas State provides for an abundance
of outdoor activities. More than 250 student organizations utilize our
