I will agree with the other comments made about the conservatory's isolation. It's a shame, and the faculty has not listened to students' suggestions on the matter. However, the conservatory is an incredible institution which will prepare a music student well for their career and most of the conservatory students are happy with their social life, having such a close-knit group of friends. In addition, WHY THE HELL DOES EVERYONE GO HOME EVERY WEEKEND??? If people want this place to be a fun school, they should stay here on the weekends. But many choose to go home. There are things to do, i mean, we're next to a major city with a lot to offer… but there aren't always people here to do stuff with. People who go home every weekend shouldn't even comment on the social life here because if they stayed, things would be different. But on a different note, the education is excellent. I have had wonderful professors and classes where I actually feel like I learn. I will be well-prepared for the real world.
