Major: Other (This Major's Salary over time)
I have been a BYU student for little over a year now, and I have thoroughly enjoyed the experience. As a neuroscience major looking towards future graduate studies, I recently decided to find a position in a campus lab to get experience. I e-mailed several professors and found that they were willing not only to let me come and observe, but also to participate. Barely one month after I started volunteering in the lab that I chose, I have learned how to do all the techniques, and have now been hired as a paid research assitant. I find that the professors are very willing to help undergraduates have graduate-level experience, something which is invaluable for students in my field and other which are similar.
