Date: Feb 04 2004 Major: Psychology (This Major's Salary over time) Not being accredited has definitely hurt my career since graduation. Even now, my (less than) equally educated co-workers (from 2-year community colleges) get paid about $1,200 annually more than I do because they are members of a professional organization that only accepts SACS or regionally-approved accreditation graduates. (Temple is now in the process of getting SACS approval and this is a great decision. I hope this happens.) For the amount of money we paid, the dorms and houses should have been kept up better. This may have improved in recent years. Real world applications and work experiences were offered in my major. The majority of teachers were friendly and accessible. I loved meeting people from all over the world, and my friends and I still keep in touch 20 years later. The area is wonderful. It has plenty of fun things to do and is very convenient to Atlanta, Knoxville, and Nashville.
