The University of New England WAS a good school. Their agenda has changed from being a fine academic institution to making money. Basically any one with a pulse and a check book could get in here. It is a very pretty school, and the academics are still challenging. Basically a good choice if you cannot get in any place else. In reference to the social life, the corrupt res-life department keeps a tight grasp on the party scene, no midweek partying, and on most weekends the campus is dead by 11 pm, except for the occational drunk freshman.
