Major: History/Histories (art history/etc.) (This Major's Salary over time)
Vassar is clearly not the place for everyone. If you want to attend small classes and be able to have casual run-ins and conversations with your professors, Vassar is perfect. The classes at every level that are offered are incredible and are essentailly open to anyone, no matter what your major. Socially the college can be clastrophobic and it is easy to get wrapped up in the social drama. I try to gain some perspective by visiting friends at Bard and in New York City and keeping myself busy with what I love to do (my on-campus job, clubs, and off-campus field work). I do believe that I have found some of the people that I will be friends with for the rest of my life here at Vassar. It isn't perfect, but I highly doubt that any college is. We as a whole are liberal, love being outside on the quad, and really enjoy the company of others.
