Trust me, you won't be able to change the whole school's mentality. Thanks for the comment- |
Major: Business - Management and Administration (This Major's Salary over time)
I was searching studentsreview.com for my son who will be going to college in 2006. I graduated in 1982, and as a woman in the business department, was treated like a pariah. My fellow classmates expected me to type our senior capstone thesis, I was constantly asked why I wasn't married, with the underlying tone that I must be a lesbian…If I had it to do over again I would never attend BYU. Be careful…your college degree goes with you everywhere in life and people have preconceived notions about who you are based on where you went to school…even with a graduate degree I am still carrying the burden of BYU. If you are a devout Mormom male, disregard what I am saying. If you are female, and interested in actually using your degree and having a career…you are better off somewhere else, unless you think you can change the whole school mentality. Good luck.
