Delta College

Delta was a great school to get my undergraduate classes done. Although I did not reside in the district, I decided to go to Delta as apposed to a closer community college because of the availability of classes. I was very impressed with many of the professors at Delta. They definitely went out of their way to help you in many cases and a few even seemed very interested in your personal life and career goals, which was very motivating. There are plenty of not-so-great professors at Delta though, just like at any other school. The staff (especially in the financial aid office) can seem very rude and unhelpful at times, but the friendliness of the professors made up for it. I was VERY disappointed with the couseling office, however. While they were great at my orientation, towards the end of my classes at Delta, the counselor was recommending classes to me that would not transfer. I advise you to make sure to check credibility of credits to whatever university you are going to if you are transfering, regardless of what the counselor has told you! Overall, I would definitely recommend Delta. The Delta College Midland Center and the Planetarium in downtown Bay City are great places to take classes as well!
