Honestly, everyone here hates this school in one way or another. i'll be a sophomore next year in the science department and i hated my freshman classes. half of the teachers don't know what the hell they are doing and were only hired because they were christian and had a degree from baylor in a certain field. I am going to transfer after next year and keep my options open. If you are a premed student keep in mind that some professors will change your grade if you go to their office and cry about how "god did something or the other." while i feel that this is blatant cheating, others will do anything for the grade they want. Cheating (looking at other people's papers during tests and getting old tests from friends) are also very popular practices on campus. Binge drinking is also very popular. There are no greek "houses" but there are some unofficial ones on the east side of campus where all the dirty-weekend sex and drinking takes place. Still everyone is up early on Sunday and their best attire to attend one of the million churches in Waco. Any other sect of christianity besides baptism is not accepted. Very homophobic and racist as well. For housing, even in the honors dorm where i am, students are placed with other students of their same race and there is a wing of just "minority" students. If you didn't get into your top school and have saved up money for college go to baylor, get your 4.0, and transfer to some place without closed-minded, arrogant and promiscuous people.
