Mannes is truly one of the best conservatories in the US, full stop. It is a first-rate institution with excellent academics and some of the finest faculty around. One of its strongest attributes is its small size and intense techniques of music program…it is not a factory like so many other schools. Mannes gave me a fantastic musical foundation and the confidence and skills to move on to a great graduate school and a wonderful college teaching job. I would do it all again if a had to make a choice! There is no other place quite like it…if you are looking for music schools, seriously check it out. Hey, I am a freshman and an aspiring sound engineer/musician at Ohio University looking for opportunities to transfer into the city. My school has a great music production school, (from what an experienced professor here told me) but does Mannes have a good program for this? I would greatly regret not giving myself the chance to live in the city and better network myself.
Please help!
