Major: History/Histories (art history/etc.) (This Major's Salary over time)
I needed to learn to write, read and obtain basic science knowledge. The nurturing envirnment of the small school provided for this.The small school also allowed me to become involved in numerous extracurricular activities: school paper; school radio; sports; managing intramural sports; and various odd jobs. At a larger institution I could never have touched upon so many disciplines.I think Grinnell—in its remote region—is not for everyone. But, if plopped in the middle of Cambridge, Massachusetts, I know it would be the school of choice in that neck of woods.
