I'd be wary about coming here, especially if you're concerned about money. The administration does not seem to care about us at all; why else would they raise the comprehensive fee for at least five years straight, leaving us to scramble for money to cover up the resultant holes in our financial aid? Sure, the school may offer merit aid, but be warned that there are probably fee hikes in the future and your merit aid will not increase to cover these hikes. You may pay much more money than you expect.

Other than the serious tuitions issues, Grinnell's a nice place. The campus is undergoing a buttload of construction that will finish next year, so entering students will have ncie facilities like the Noyce student center (which will have a pub and neat dining options). Other than the hideous construction, the campus pleasantly green. There are some annoying things like the fact that the ENTIRE campus smells like vomit/crap at times when the ginko trees bloom.

The students are pretty chill, but there are a lot of people who think they're brilliant, and as a result they look down upon you. However, for the most part, students are understanding and friendly.

The faculty, for the most part, knows how to teach. That's pretty much what they're hired for, but there are some perplexing holdouts who cannot teach at all.

Oh ya, it's Grinnell, Iowa, so expect the town to be lifeless. The social scene is pretty small and tight—you may or may not like this.
