Although the coursework in my major has just been average in terms of preparing me for my future career, the out-of-class opportunities and real-world experience that Valpo offers are outstanding. I have worked in local schools in Valparaiso, participated in tutoring programs, and even had the opportunity to teach in two foreign countries.

My professors have always been helpful and approachable, and I have never felt intimidated about going and talking to them during office hours.

If you involve yourself in extracurricular activities, there is NEVER a shortage of things to do. I have met so many motivated, intelligent, thoughtful people during my three years at Valpo, and I wouldn't trade my college experience for the world. As with any college, you get out of it what you put into it.
