The best thing about the school is how involved the students get into the athletics in supporting the teams. Right now its just the men's basketball and football teams but it would seem like if one of the other teams would do well the students would at least try and support them but as of yet since the University doesn't really show focus on them when they do well the students are left out of the loop to concentrate on what the University is concentrating on which is the teams making the big news media wise. The campus is undergoing renovations as of 9/3/06 so be aware when visiting or attending there is construction. Morgantown is the fastest growing city in the entire state of West Virginia and the region we encompass which includes MD, PA, and WV. Improvements are on the rise as 2 buildings downtown are undergoing extensive rehabilitation to better the classroom enviroment. One building will be for the world famous Forensics department which will be located across from Woodburn Circle on the downtown campus and Brooks Hall which is right next to the PRT system stop for the downtown campus. Also they are in the works to build a new student dorm which will begin very soon. Bad aspects is that alot of the time you are treated as a number esp with faculty. The only way many faculty memebers will help or associate with you is if your showing the deepest intrest in the class they are teaching. Another thing is when going for help and visiting the professor of that course you always have a hard time in getting help as many of them are reluctant to give any at all. Also some professors are also bad about giving adequate test times as some are giving out harder and more information needed quizzes and tests but have shrunk the time allowed to have when taking the test. Also the libraries are another non-helpful resource on campus. Unless you know exactly what your searching for the librarians will not help you in your search of whatever you need. They will have you visit some desk and there this woman will begin to treat you like an idiot where she assumes you should know the library like the back of your hand, which is not professional she is there for help and understanding of the building not to treat a student like crap.
